Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to bookings made directly with Sitatunga Guest Lodge & Transfers and to the use of this website. Company and partner bookings follow the terms agreed with that company or partner.

Bookings and payment

• Direct bookings are paid when you book. Online, you pay by card on iKhokha’s secure payment page; we never see or store your full card details. You can also pay by EFT (bank transfer).
• We hold your room for 15 minutes while you pay. If payment is not completed in that time, the room is released and the booking is not confirmed.
• Prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Room prices are per room, per night, and include breakfast and VAT unless stated otherwise. The self-catering apartment does not include breakfast.
• Your booking is confirmed once you receive our confirmation email.
• Online bookings for arrival the same day close at 10:00 (Johannesburg time). After that, please contact us on WhatsApp or by phone.

Cancellations

• Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. If you cancel within 7 days of arrival, the first night is charged. If you cancel on the day of arrival or do not arrive, the full stay is charged.
• If you leave earlier than booked, the remaining nights are not refunded.
• Refunds go back to the card you paid with. If you paid with Apple Pay or Google Pay, we refund you by EFT to your bank account.
• No cancellation fee is charged if the guest cannot travel because of death or a stay in hospital, as the Consumer Protection Act requires.
• Because a booking is for set dates, the 7-day cooling-off period in the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act does not apply.

Children and extra guests

• Children under 3 stay free when sharing with their parents.
• Children aged 3 to 12: R200 per night, breakfast included.
• Extra adults (12 and over): R250 per night, breakfast included.

Maximum guests per room:

• Standard room: 1 guest.
• Premium room: 2 guests.
• Superior room: 3 guests, with no more than 2 adults.
• Deluxe / Family room: 3 guests, with no more than 2 adults.
• One-bedroom apartment: 1 guest.

Check-in and check-out

• Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00.
• The latest check-in is 20:00. If you will arrive later, please tell us in advance so someone is there to welcome you.

Long stays

• 5% off every 7 nights, up to 15%.
• A free one-way airport transfer when you stay 4 nights or more in a room, or 7 nights or more in the apartment.

Airport transfers and tours

• Transfer prices are per vehicle, per way, and are confirmed before you travel. Transfers between 20:00 and 06:00 cost R100 more per way.
• Please send your flight number so we can track your flight.
• Tours are quoted on request. The quote confirms what is included.

Pets

Pets are welcome on request, at R150 per pet per night. Please ask before you book.

Your stay

Please look after the room and the lodge as you would your own home. You are responsible for any damage caused during your stay. We are not responsible for valuables left unattended.

This website

We keep the information on this website as accurate as we can. If anything differs from your booking confirmation, your confirmation applies.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
